Our Position
Having access to health care coverage enables people to get the care they need, including preventive care, which helps them avoid preventable illnesses and better manage chronic diseases.
Access and affordability go hand-in-hand. Lower health care costs means more people are able to get the coverage and care they deserve to promote their health and financial stability.
AHIP advocates for policies that expand access, help control costs, and preserve flexibility so that more Americans can obtain access to health care coverage.
