Usha Ranji, MS is Associate Director for Women’s Health Policy at KFF, based in San Francisco. Usha is a recognized expert in women’s health policy issues and her work addresses the impact of major health policy issues on women and girls, with an emphasis on insurance coverage, access to care, and low-income populations. At Kaiser, Usha leads a range of projects, including analyses of the Kaiser Women’s Health Survey and Medicaid benefits survey, tracking changes in women’s insurance coverage, and monitoring changes in Medicaid coverage of family planning and pregnancy-related services. In addition to her work at Kaiser, Usha has published in the peer-reviewed literature and spoken extensively on women’s coverage, access, and the impact of the ACA to national and local groups. Usha is a member of advisory committees for the California Maternal Quality Care Collaborative and the California Breast Cancer Research Program. Usha holds a Master’s Degree in Health Policy and Management from the Harvard School of Public Health.
