Stephen Cozzo

Stephen Cozzo is currently the Vice President for Government Relations and External Affairs/Public Policy for the AmeriHealth Caritas. Stephen leads a team of Public Policy experts with a focus on the identification of political and economic contingencies, evidence-based policy research, policy thought-leadership, and future trends in public health care. Their work is an effort to promote informed decision-making as the health care industry matures under the Affordable Care Act and navigates the Covid-19 pandemic. This work is leveraged by internal stakeholders and government partners in the design and delivery of meaningful, value-based, barrier-free coverage to as many consumers as possible, while still being responsible stewards of the taxpayers’ dollars.

Prior to his time with AmeriHealth Caritas, Stephen worked with the First Judicial District of Philadelphia, serving at-risk youth. Stephen graduated from Penn State in 1996 with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies and currently lives in Huntingdon Valley Pennsylvania with his wife and three sons.
