Shawn Castellanos
National Executive, Emerging Strategies, American Heart Association
Advisor, influential collaborator, creative thinker, executive strategist and equal parts leader and doer, Shawn Castellanos leads enterprise-wide emerging strategies for the American Heart Association. In this role, Ms. Castellanos is responsible for the planning and stand-up creation of new and early-stage initiatives inclusive of building structure, financial plan, securing initial funding and establishing market performance objectives.
Ms. Castellanos is known as an entrepreneurial thinker and organizational advisor who frames strategic choices with clarity to improve existing business operations while identifying, and often executing, joint ventures and other new opportunities. In addition to her experience with the American Heart Association, she is an experienced non-profit leader of large fundraising teams both at Cornell University and Johns Hopkins University.
Ms. Castellanos holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa, a master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University, and is an Executive MBA student at the Quantic School of Business and Technology.
