Rachel Harrington is the Senior Research Scientist for Health Equity at the National Committee for Quality Assurance, where she leads organizational efforts to build an evidence base for advancing equitable, high quality, health care. This includes methods to promote transparency, incentivize reduction of inequities, build more inclusive approaches to measurement, and develop equitable systems of care. Before joining NCQA, Dr. Harrington was a fellow at the University of Illinois at Chicago Institute for Health Research and Policy, where her research focused on healthcare quality among complex pediatric populations. Prior to that, she spent over 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry, including roles in health economics and outcomes research. Dr. Harrington holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacy Systems, Outcomes and Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
