Patricia Kelmar is the Senior Director, Health Care Campaigns for U.S. PIRG. PIRG is a federation of state-based, nonpartisan, citizen-funded Public Interest Research Groups in 24 states.
Patricia honed her consumer and health policy skills as the Associate State Director for AARP (NJ) and later as Senior Policy Advisor to the New Jersey Health Care Quality Institute. Before joining PIRG, she spent a decade consulting for state and national health and consumer nonprofits, offering policy analysis, strategic planning, media relations, and grant fundraising. She has a B.A. from Boston College and a J.D. from George Washington University Law School. She is a licensed member of the Virginia Bar. She recently served as the consumer representative on the federally appointed Ground Ambulance and Patient Billing Advisory Committee.
