Dr. Jackie Ejuwa is a healthcare futurist who vividly imagines how healthcare could be transformed.
Jackie’s three decades in healthcare have been in a variety of roles across sub-Saharan Africa, the United Kingdom, and the United States, within both the healthcare delivery and managed healthcare/payor systems.
Jackie is currently Vice President, Health Transformation at Blue Shield of California where she is responsible for end-to-end design, implementation, and expansion of Blue Shield’s Health Reimagined strategy. She is also accountable for visioning and implementation of Blue Shield’s clinical health data and virtual care strategies.
Jackie is an unconventional and independent thinker who has an ability to see around corners and simplify complexity. She brings diversity of thought and is a bridge-builder who cultivates long-term relationships and networks. She is a continuous learner and a positive disruptor.
Jackie is a healthcare executive who is passionate about learning, leadership, and mentorship. Jackie is committed to driving towards equitable, accessible, affordable, high quality, consumer-oriented healthcare for all within the US health care system.
Jackie has a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, a doctorate degree in Pharmacy from the University of Florida, and a Master of Science in Healthcare Leadership from Brown University, Rhode Island. She is passionate about affordable, high quality, consumer-oriented healthcare, health equity, racial, social, reproductive justice and diversity and inclusion.
