Crystal L Clark MD MPH is the Chief Medical Officer for Community HealthChoices (CHC) with UPMC Health Plan and Senior Advisor for the UPMC Center for Social Impact. Dr. Clark provides strategic, programmatic, and medical leadership for the UPMC CHC Team dedicated to supporting improved independence in the community and overall health and wellness outcomes.
Dr. Clark is a Board-Certified Internist who has dedicated her career to improving health and health care for urban populations. She is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at the Washington Hospital Center; her MPH in Epidemiology from the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health; and her Fellowship in Quality Improvement from the Institute for Healthcare Improvement in Cambridge, MA . Dr. Clark serves as a leader to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within UPMC, and she works diligently to explore racial and social inequities impacting communities across the nation. Dr. Clark was the 2023 recipient of the Alliance of Community Health Plan’s Bernard J. Tyson Award for Health Equity.
