WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Board of Directors of America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) is pleased to announce the election of Bruce D. Broussard, President and CEO of Humana Inc., as Board Chair for 2021. Broussard will join eight newly elected and appointed AHIP Board members.
“It is our shared responsibility to improve and evolve the health care system, and I am honored by the opportunity that becoming Board Chair for AHIP brings,” said Bruce Broussard, President and CEO of Humana Inc. “It has never been more urgent to innovate and lead, especially due to the COVID-19 pandemic, in making a positive difference in shaping the future of health care.”
Since joining Humana in 2011, Broussard has overseen the creation of an integrated care delivery model centered on improving personal health outcomes, driving lower costs, enhancing quality, and providing a simple and personalized member experience. Under Broussard, Humana has remained dedicated to improving the health of the communities it serves by making it easy for people to achieve their best health.
