Jason Teeple
Senior Director, Interoperability Center of Enablement, Cigna Group
Jason has over 17 years of healthcare experience, initially as a managing consultant at boutique benefits & insurance firm where he led population health analytics and RFP financial modeling for numerous Fortune 500 clients. At Cigna, Jason started on the Group Insurance side while transitioning into a technology driven roles through TECDP. It was in TECDP that Jason found his passion for Enterprise Architecture in the clinical space.
Jason is the Cigna Group Interoperability Strategy Leader and Sr. Director of Enterprise Architecture.
A recognized industry thought leader for Interoperability, Jason focuses on the strategy, early adoption, and long-term successful for Interoperability concepts within The Cigna Group and Evernorth.
He is also an active participant in numerous Da Vinci and CARIN communities. Jason has received numerous awards and recognitions, including Cigna CEO Champions award and the 2021 Da Vinci Community Champions award.
Over the course of the years, Jason led numerous initiatives, including Cigna’s Open Enrollment tool for Employers, Cigna’s transition to eviCore’s Medical Oncology services, Cigna-ESI Call Center Migration, and the Interoperability program.
Jason's contributions have been acknowledged with the 2019 CEO Champion Quarterly Award and 2021 CTC Collaborator of the Year Award.
Jason has been an active member of the HL7 Accelerator community for many years. He has contributed to countless Working Groups and connect-a-thons, active participant in the 1st five FHIR Dev days, a secondary Author on CARIN for Blue Button Implementation Guide, and is a sought-after conference presenter and panelist.
